By using portable-labs.com or engaging Portable Labs for any service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or engage our services.

Services

Portable Labs provides consulting, design, development, automation, data engineering, business intelligence, and AI implementation services. The specific scope of work, deliverables, timelines, payment terms, and responsibilities for any engagement are agreed upon in writing — through a statement of work, proposal, or contract — before work begins. These Terms govern general use of the site; the engagement-specific agreement governs the work itself, and in case of conflict, the engagement-specific agreement prevails.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, branding, graphics, logos, design, code, UI components, documentation, methodologies, frameworks, templates, internal tools, AI prompts, agent configurations, and any proprietary systems developed by Portable Labs — is owned by or licensed to Portable Labs and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, and intellectual property laws.

Client work. Ownership of deliverables produced for a specific client is governed by the written agreement for that engagement. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Portable Labs retains ownership of all pre-existing materials, generic tools, reusable components, internal frameworks, know-how, and methodologies used in the course of delivery. Where custom deliverables are transferred to a client, Portable Labs retains a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use the underlying techniques and anonymised learnings for future projects.

Restrictions. You may not — without Portable Labs' prior written consent — copy, reproduce, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, redistribute, sublicense, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Portable Labs materials, whether obtained through this website or provided to you as part of an engagement. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks to imply endorsement or affiliation without written permission.

Feedback. Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you provide to Portable Labs may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

No guarantees of results

We share real outcomes from real engagements, but individual results vary. We do not guarantee specific revenue, cost savings, efficiency gains, clients, or business outcomes. Your results depend on your team's execution, market conditions, and factors outside our control. Any forward-looking statements in proposals or marketing are illustrative, not promises.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portable Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total aggregate liability for any engagement is limited to the amount you have paid us for that engagement in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise) on which the claim is based.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in a signed engagement contract.
